Having been formally apprenticed and worked for a number of years in a major car company in Northern Ireland I moved from the UK to Tasmania in 1976, with my wife and children.  I worked for Jackson Ford for many years as their Auto Electrician and was promoted to Assistant Service Manager within the company.

However I left to go back to my more 'hands on' trade, taking up a position with "Little’s Electric" , working out of 154 George Street and making many new friends along the way.

Following negotiations with the owners I took over the Auto Electrical side of the business back in 1991 continuing to trade out of that address. We subsequently took on "Marshall Batteries" which we serviced in the north of the state for some 10 years, on a 24 Hour basis.

When we moved the operation to larger premises at 3 Holbrook Street, we decided, after negotiations with ''Supercharge Batteries'', to became their Launceston Agent.

Jim has personally built up this side of the business over almost 4 years in the knowledge that the batteries are world class and with the warranties provided, makes them an outstanding product. 

More recently......Jim has joined forces with "Ultra Greensun" Solar tube, hot water systems. This venture will bring to the Launceston public, the most efficient and cost effective product, available on the market today. Whilst full Systems are fitted by experienced Technicians, they can also be fitted by handymen..... Jim handles the electronic unit’s personally, covering every unit sold and fitted with a 5 year Manufacturers warranty.
